Phase 0: Feasibility, Specification Freeze, and Kick-Off

The program starts before samples: feasibility confirms the size, resolution, interface, and environment are buildable, and the specification is frozen as the contract for the whole program. Mass production runs under the quality plan: lots are inspected against the agreed AQL terms, records tie each lot to its materials and results, and changes are managed through formal change control so a silent modification cannot invalidate the qualified design. Quality mechanics such as AQL sampling and incoming inspection have their own guides; the production stage applies them continuously.
